Francis A. Schaeffer (1912–1984) was a prominent American theologian, philosopher, and Presbyterian minister known for his influence on evangelical Christianity and Christian worldview thinking. In 1955, he and his wife Edith founded L’Abri Fellowship in Switzerland, a community where seekers could explore questions about God, culture, and philosophy. Schaeffer authored over twenty books, including The God Who Is There and How Should We Then Live?, which critiqued modern secularism and called for a return to biblical truth. His work continues to impact Christian apologetics and cultural engagement.
