Charles R. Swindoll (born October 18, 1934) is an American evangelical Christian pastor, author, educator, and radio preacher. Known for his down-to-earth teaching style, he has spent decades making biblical principles accessible and practical. Swindoll is the founder and senior pastor of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas, and the voice of the international radio program Insight for Living, which began airing in 1979 and continues to reach a global audience. He served as president and later chancellor of Dallas Theological Seminary, where he also studied. Swindoll has written over 70 books, focusing on Christian living, leadership, and character development. His work is marked by clarity, warmth, and a deep commitment to grace-centered theology.
