Andrew Wommack (born April 30, 1949) is an American Christian televangelist and Bible teacher. He began preaching in 1969 and later founded Andrew Wommack Ministries in 1978, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His teachings emphasize God’s unconditional love and the believer’s authority through Christ. Wommack is best known for his daily television program, The Gospel Truth, which reaches audiences around the world. In 1994, he founded Charis Bible College to train people in ministry work, blending biblical instruction with practical ministry experience. His theology leans heavily on faith, grace, and healing, and he is a prominent voice in the Word of Faith movement, although he distances himself from some of its extremes. Wommack has written several books and hosts conferences and live events globally. His ministry has drawn both praise for empowering individuals spiritually and criticism for controversial views on healing, prosperity, and politics. He remains active in teaching, broadcasting, and expanding his educational and ministry programs.
